Redefining Google search
Google is all about making search user friendly; and Seoloop is all about making client websites Google friendly. That makes me write first article dedicated to Google search. I am going to discuss search syntax and operators to help readers understand and utilize Google search more effectively. First of all a very brief description on “How Google Works”:
Google crawls web pages on the internet, copies text & images, and build database with collected data. When we use Google search, it shows us results refined by:
# Word occurrence and prominence on the page,
# Popularity measured by incoming links,
# Approximately other 200 factors in all!
Now back to Searching Google. First and basic rule is think about full text and be specific about it e.g.

Hottest sports cars of 2008 vs. 2007
Use academic and professional language whenever possible

Automobile industry vs. cars, Auto trends
Also try combinations with many inter-related key phrases

Automobile, research, Cars, motor Sports, industry
If you feel like playing specific then try specifying exact phrases.

“Morgan sports car club”
“what you're looking for is already inside you”
Keep out or include a word in search phrase

Apple –fruit
Apple +computer
You can also limit your search to Web page title

intitle:hybrid
allintitle:hybrid cars mileage
Website URL or domain

“nuclear treaty” site:direct.gov.uk
site:edu “search engines”
File type
“search engines” filetype:doc site:edu
Exact phrase definitions
define:nuclear
define:“splash page”

After triggering Google search, on the results page you will find:
#Search box to modify and change your search phrase,
#“Cache” to see Google’s index for that page,
#“Related pages” to see more results of that kind,
#“Translate this page” to get Google translation.
Google’s other databases are Images, Maps, News, Blogs, Books, Scholar, etc.
I hope this small article will help you use the Google search more effectively. I will keep writing on such topics and make Seoloop more helpful to all visitors, So keep in touch and happy searching.
